I operate a small children's summer camp and need a machine I can finish mow about 2 - 3 acres, scrape a bunch of driveway and road, move various types of fill around and, possibly someday, put a small (6 1/2 - 7 1/2')hoe on.I am looking at a TC29D (Hydro & a few bells and whistles) w/7308 FEL, R4's, 350 hrs in great shape overall. The seller is asking $12,800 and seems pretty firm. Good price or not? Good tractor for my needs?or not? Any thoughts and opinions appreciated

Sounds pretty good to me. I priced NH today and I like the tractors alot even own stock in them but they are little pricy in NW Florida, only one dealer in 150 mile radious. TC 33/R4/ $14900 loader add $3900,TC 35D/R4/$16900 and so on. Loved the features, seat, sway bars etc. Any other pricing from others? ....

DJ,
The prices you mentioned are the norm here in northern Illinois except that the loader is $3000 and the tractor prices include supersteer.

VT Steve,
The tractor you are considering is a great buy and the size features sound like they will work well for you. It may be a little more than you need but you could spend that much money on a much smaller piece of equipment. Being a little oversized is actually a good thing since you will probably come up with other uses over time that are hard to forsee right now.

Hey, thanks for all the great assistance! As it turns out, when the seller actually gt the tractor back in his yard, lo and behold - it had turfs, not R-4's, on it! That kinda bummed me out, as I was really psyched for the R-4's. He also said he had misquoted me on the price and was really asking $13,800! That made me even less excited. I think the tractor is still a pretty good deal at that price and with the turfs but I need to mull it over for a few days to kind of "re-adjust" to a higher price and different equipment than I had gotten excited about. Will keep you posted! ....
